Education

Our teaching programme focuses on topics of development cooperation concerning trees, forests and people. The contents of the lectures refer to the state of the art of science and current international topics related to the role of forest resources in development are discussed. The group (Groupe de foresterie pour le développement, GFD) supports students from partner organizations and southern and eastern partner countries while doing project work, master's or PhD thesis.

Coordination and Support for practical training

The group arranges practical training opportunities for students within development projects abroad. Most of these projets have a forestry background. The coordination and distribution of these traineeships is coordinated by our group. During their practical training, the students are supported by GFD in case of professional, organisational or personal problems.
