Danny Nef’s project on community-based management in the Vanuatu Daily post

What is worse than experiencing one tropical cyclone in a remote island of the pacific? Maybe experiencing two. In an article in the Vanuatu Daily Post, Danny explains how he started developing ideas to develop community-based solutions to cope with recurrent natural disasters after witnessing the ravage of the cyclone Pam and El Nino in Vanuatu's islands.

Last week, Danny presented his project at the University of South Pacific’s Vanuatu Santo Centre and is now featured in the Vanuatu Daily Post: “His community based pilot projects in Hiu and Moto Lava in raising the endangered coconut crabs, sandalwood plantations and setting up of a telecommunications receiver has shown some potential community based advantages besides rising in the economical standards of some.”
