What will happen to the forests of the Congo Basin, how and why?

Don't miss the first ITES Montagskolloquium für die Praxis 2017/2018 on the outcomes of the twin projects CoForTips/CoForSet.

by Charlotte Pavageau

The future of the forests of the Congo Basin is constrained by two processes: climate change and land use change. An improved understanding of the drivers and pathways of landscape change and a more realistic depiction of the decision making processes of the stakeholders involved would allow managers and land planners to better anticipate the ecological, social and economic impacts of human interventions. In this session, we report on the outcomes of the twin projects CoForTips/CoForSet, aimed at developing future scenarios for the forests of the congo Basin.

Coordination: Claude Garcia

Date: November 20th, 2017. The event will start at 15:15 at ETH Zurich, seminar room CHN C14 (Universitätstr. 16).
